Latin Name: Camellia sinensis
Green tea has been enjoyed for over 3.000 years in China and in Asia in general. The systematic approach to its beneficial properties is the 1911 Kissa Yojoki text, where it is described as heart and body stimulant.
Traditional uses:
• As styptic
• As diuretic
• As antioxidant
• To protect the teeth from cavities
• The Chinese also consider it to decrease the possibility of breast and prostates cancer
Available in tea bags and in non-pulverized form to be used as an infusion: Add 1 teaspoon of the herb in cup of boiled water and leave it covered for 30 minutes. Filter the infusion and drink it. Consume preferably with an empty stomach or 3 hours after meal.
