Glycerin Suppositories for Adults

Product Description

The most tried and tested solution for constipation.

Mild action but with immediate effect (within 5 to 30 minutes), without interactions with other preparations.

Indications: Symptomatic treatment of constipation. Rapid evacuation of the rectum for preparation for endoscopy examinations of the anus

Composition: 2.4g glycerol / suppository. Excipients: Gelatin, Water

Action: Glycerin stimulates the peristaltic movements of the intestine and reduces the suction of water thanks to its osmotic and hygroscopic properties. With rectal administration, glycerin shows minimal absorption.

Use: Rectal administration, laxative. It is recommended to place the suppository in the refrigerator half an hour before use and then remove the plastic housing and rinse the suppository with a little water.

Packaging: 10 suppositories in PVC cases within each paper box

Dosage: Adults: 1 suppository. If the problem persists after 30 min of application, another suppository can be administered.

Contraindications: Not recommended in cases of severe colic, hemorroids, papillomas, rectocolitis hemorrhage, anal rhagades

General Cautions: Not intended for long term usage. Can be administered during pregnancy and lactation period. No special warnings for the ingredients reported. No interactions with other medicines reported. No effects on driving or machine operation reported

Overdose: The excessive use may cause inflammation in the intestine and in exceptional instances, inflammation of the rectum

Expiry date: 5 years after production in a cool and dry place (not exceeding 25oC, see package.)

Can be administered with or without a physicians’ prescription
