Latin Nme: urtica dioica
Nettle herb can be found almost everywhere in the Greek nature. It is also very common in Great Britain, where its name is a synonym to danger: Shakespeare, Henry IV, part 1, Act II Scene 3 "out of this nettle, (danger), we grasp this flower (safety)"
Nettle leafs are very rich in vitamin c and are traditionally used:
• As diuretic, against kidney stones formation
• Stimulates blood circulation and detoxificates the body in cases of arthritis, rheumatism, sciatica and gout
• For relieving irritation from insect bites and minor burns as a suffix (compress) or simple washes
• 10 gr
Available in non-pulverized form to be used as an infusion: Add 1 teaspoon of the herb in cup of boiled water and leave it covered for 30 minutes. Filter the infusion and drink it. Consume preferably with an empty stomach or 3 hours after meal.
