Latin Name: Verbena officinalis
References on the use of Verbena can be found in Ancient Greek history when used as a gift to the Gods, but also in the Holy Bible, used to stop the bleeding of Jesus Christ’s wounds.
Traditional uses:
• Diuretic and sweating, reducing water retention and functioning as a slimming assistant
• Against the symptoms of bronchitis and rhinitis
• Against the symptoms of gastritis and diarrhea
• Relieves from headaches and ear pains (as a compress)
Available in tea bags. Consume preferably with an empty stomach or 3 hours after meal. For external use (compress) wet a clean piece of cloth and place on the irritated area.
